I'm in the throes of jetlag, homesickness, and (re)culture shock. But nothing compares with the stories I'm reading over the internet about New Orleans. It's a horror and I'm sad. I've done nothing the past two days but read about it.

Up to November 2005 I was living overseas, most recently in Paris, France. I started this blog to keep my family and friends up on my life abroad, so they wouldn't feel so out of touch when I came home. Now, however, have moved back home to Minnesota with my boyfriend Marco.
